Profile

Orca Design was established in 2003 by Naomi Nesham following successful completion of a Diploma course at JJA Academy for Art and Design. Since then we have worked on many projects including a trendy London bar, several smart audiovisual showrooms, an Eco Hotel Resort in Tobago, the refurbishment of the renowned 'Star of India' restaurant in Chelsea, a 21 room hotel, restaurant and bar in Surrey as well as many high end residential projects.

Naomi recently became an associate member of the British Interior Design Association. "The British Interior Design Association (BIDA) was formed in 2002 through the amalgamation of the highly respected Interior Decorators & Designers Association and the globally recognised International Interior Design Association. This newly emerged organisation continues to promote high standards throughout the profession, encouraging and fostering proven design ability. The BIDA is a Member of IFI, the International Federation of Interior Architects & Designers".

"The Association defines Interior Designers as persons qualified by education, experience and recognised skills who identify, research and creatively solve problems pertaining to the function and quality of the interior environment. They perform services relevant to interior spaces including programming, design analysis, space planning, aesthetics, and inspection of work on site, using specialised knowledge of interior construction, building systems and components, building regulations, equipment, materials and furnishings, and prepare drawings and documents relative to the design of the interior space."
